Cool number plate, is it for sale?
Sure — if you're willing to part with a kidney, a classic Ford, and some cash.
Otherwise… no.
P911 RED is staying put.
Are any of your cars for sale?
Not officially…
Vader will be up for grabs once he becomes MOT-exempt, but everything else isn’t going anywhere — unless you show up waving a frankly outrageous offer.
How many vehicles do you currently have
Well… the five on this site, plus my wife’s Kia EV6 (very nice car, but let’s be honest — it’s no Homer).
And then there’s our 2007 Transit-based Hobby T550 motorhome, which is perfect when we need to disappear for a couple of days and pretend life is organised.
Electric car -call yourself a petrol head?
No — I call myself a car enthusiast.
Do I think electric cars are the future?
Not really.
But they are the present, and while not everyone can charge at home… I can. And for a daily driver, it simply makes sense.
Running costs tell their own story:
-
My Tesla costs about 90p per day for my 30-mile round trip — roughly 3p per mile — thanks to cheap overnight home charging.
-
The same commute in Scarlett costs around £8.50 per day (28p per mile) thanks to 24 mpg and £1.50/L super unleaded.
-
Insurance on EVs is higher, and while there’s very little servicing (Tesla recommends a cabin filter every two years and a brake fluid check), it’s not the miracle saving some people claim.
But for the grind of everyday commuting?
The numbers don’t lie.
Electric wins — so I keep the petrol for what petrol does best:
making noise, making smiles, and making memories.
Will you add more cars to the collection?
Almost definitely.
A 1970s Volvo P1800 is already pencilled in for the future…
once space on the driveway magically appears.
Why create this website?
Because each car has a story worth telling — and this gives me a place to document them, share progress, store photos, and keep everything neatly in one place.
